The 24-inch touch screen on the GPSMAP 8624 is capable of displaying full high-definition imagery. The display has an auto-dimming function for usage at night and is sun-readable and anti-glare during the day. The new glass-to-the-maximum-limit layout lets you enjoy a stunningly powerful, fully-connected command center. The in-plane switching (IPS) LCD screen is a first for its class, ensuring constant and accurate color reproduction from any angle. It also has a typical USB touch output, so you can use it as a touchscreen display with your Mac or PC running Windows. For a modern glass-like effect at the controls, mount numerous monitors flush to the wall or flatly edge-to-edge. An easy way to get the data you need quickly while boating is a touchscreen.
SmartMode
The GPSMAP 8624's standalone or SmartMode-integrated settings for sonar, radar, cameras, media, and digital switching make sailing a breeze. Quickly switch all displays at the helm to a predefined mode, such as fishing, docking, night sailing, etc., using SmartMode control. If you have many displays, you can quickly and easily switch them all to a new setting with only the press of a button. There are no restrictions on where you may put the data and gauges that are most important to you since you can arrange them as you choose.
Super Quick Refreshing
In order to make your on-screen motion more fluid, the built-in GPS will update your location and heading ten times per second. Dropping and retrieving up to 5,000 precise waypoints is now a breeze.
