Each Suzuki oil change kit is built around one engine family: genuine Suzuki ECSTAR V7000 10W-40 marine oil in the quantity the engine actually holds, the OEM oil filter with the correct part number, and a new drain plug gasket. The Complete kits add Suzuki SAE 90 hypoid gear oil and both lower-unit plug gaskets so the gearcase gets serviced at the same time. Nothing generic, nothing aftermarket.
Suzuki's schedule: engine oil at the initial 20 hours or 1 month, then every 100 hours or 12 months; the oil filter at the initial 20 hours, then every 200 hours; gear oil at 20 hours, then every 100 hours. Engine oil spec is SAE 10W-40, API SG–SM or NMMA FC-W.
