Recently purchased a new 23ft C-Hawk w/ a 150 Honda VTEC outboard out of Virginia. Brand new boat owner and brand new set of concerns w/ maintenance and break in. Will be the first to raise my hand and say that an online purchase of OEM oil,filters,o-rings was concerning at the very least.!! Let me also state, that I will be the first to advocate for Boat Max. Oil and filter were perfect shipping was extremely fast very pleased except for the size of the neck on the geer lube bottle. Had to put the new gear lube into the old bottle to pump it into the lower gear unit nothing wrong with the gear lube just the neck is too big on the new bottle to fit the gear lube pump.

Honda Marine 10W-30 FC-W oil is approved by the National Marine Manufacturing Association (NMMA) to meet the rigorous FC-W standard. It has also been tested by Honda Research and Development and certified for use in all Honda marine engines, complying with all of Honda’s service and warranty requirements. Honda FC-W 10W-30 Marine engine oil’s advantages over automotive oils include:

• Increased rust and oxidation inhibitors to fight corrosion in the marine environment

• Shear stable polymers to resist viscosity breakdown under high rpm and high load conditions

• Better anti-foaming characteristics to better protect the engine at high rpm

• Excellent performance in High Temperature High Shear Viscosity test to ensure viscosity retention despite the fuel dilution associated with marine engines
