Keep your Suzuki outboard looking like new with the Suzuki Outboard Paint Touch Up Pen in Cool White. This factory-matched paint is ideal for repairing small chips, scratches, and scuffs on your engine’s surface. Designed for precision application, the touch-up pen makes it easy to restore your motor’s original finish while helping protect against corrosion and further damage. For the best finish and durability, a clear coat application is recommended after touch-up.

  • Small paint chips
  • Trailer or transport damage
  • Cosmetic blemishes
  • General wear on the engine cowling or painted components
  • Compatible with Suzuki outboard motors finished in Cool White

Application Instructions – Follow these steps for best results.

1. Perform a Test Panel

Before beginning the repair, test the paint color on a small hidden area to confirm color match.

2. Mask the Repair Area

Use masking tape to cover surrounding areas to prevent overspray or accidental paint transfer.

3. Prepare the Surface

Clean the damaged area thoroughly with a wax and grease remover to remove grease, wax, fingerprints, mold release agents, dirt and debris. Allow the area to dry completely.

4. Sand the Repair Area

Use 600 or 1000 grit to remove gloss and prepare the surface, and 1500 or 2000 grit (wet sanding) to remove fine imperfections. Ensure the area is smooth before proceeding.

5. Apply Primer

Apply primer according to product instructions. After it dries, remove the masking tape, inspect the surface and lightly sand with 1000 or 1500 grit if needed.

6. Apply Color
  • Apply the Cool White color coat using the touch-up pen.
  • Apply light, even coats and allow proper drying between coats
  • Do not sand between color coats
7. Apply Clearcoat

After the color coat has dried, apply the clearcoat to restore gloss and protect the repair. Do not sand between the color and clearcoat layers.

8. Final Finish

After 5 days of curing, the repaired area can be polished with a fine cut compound and a soft cloth using light circular motions.
