The Torqeedo Cruise 3.0 (approximately 5-6 HP equivalent) and associated configurations provide sustained electric power suitable for sailing tenders, larger RIBs, small keelboats, and electric-auxiliary installations on sailboats up to 34 feet.

Unlike the self-contained Travel series, the Cruise series motors work with external Torqeedo-compatible battery systems: including lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries with higher capacity for extended range. This architecture allows battery capacity to be scaled to the vessel's needs: a day-sailing tender might use a compact 2 kWh battery, while a cruising sailboat auxiliary might use a 10+ kWh battery bank for reliable all-day coastal motoring.
