The Suzuki DF30A is the most powerful motor in Suzuki's portable range: a 490 cc, three-cylinder 4-stroke with battery-less multi-point EFI and Lean Burn Control, electric start and power trim and tilt as standard on the models we sell. Suzuki lists the remote-steer DF30ATL at 158 lb and the tiller DF30ATHL at 163 lb.

Service basics from the owner's manual: 1.5 L SAE 10W-40 (1.7 L with a new 16510-87J02 filter), NGK MR6K-9 plugs (2019 and newer; CPR6EA-9 on 2015–2018), gear oil at 20 hours then every 100 hours, impeller inspected at 200 hours and replaced at 300 hours or 36 months, timing belt inspected every 200 hours and replaced every 4 years. Full-throttle range is 5,300–6,300 rpm. A 12 V starting battery of at least 650 MCA / 512 CCA is required, supplied by the owner.
